kakobuy: fee structure and shipping profile
Fee and storage terms read from the agent's public pages on 2026-10-05. Where a term is not published we record it as null rather than estimating.
Fee model
| Term | Published value |
|---|---|
| Service fee model | Percentage of item value, published on the order page before payment; no flat per-order fee in our checks. |
| Free storage | 90 days |
| Consolidation | Offered |
| Claims documentation | See the compensation article for how the terms are worded across carriers |
Where a term is not published we record it as null rather than estimating. Terms change without notice; the collection date above is the reference.
Storage and consolidation
kakobuy publishes a 90-day free storage window. The number that matters as much as the length is when the clock starts: warehouse check-in at some agents, purchase at others, which is worth about a week.
Consolidation is offered. Requesting it before packing avoids restarting the packing clock, which is the most common avoidable delay at this stage.
Lanes commonly used
| Lane | Freight at 1.5 kg | Median days | Slowest 10% |
|---|---|---|---|
| US — Economy | $5.90–$9.40 | 20 days | 40 days |
| US — Express | $11.40–$17.20 | 10 days | 21 days |
Lane availability varies by destination country; the lanes shown are the ones this agent most commonly uses in our sample.
Two variables to watch
| Variable | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Charges by billed weight, | Charges by billed weight, not scale weight |
| QC photos are produced | QC photos are produced before international payment |
These are the two factors that most often explain a difference between an estimate and a final invoice for this agent.
